Sailing in Stars

My third collection of original music was released when I was 18 years old. At the time I was studying to be a film composer, and had a fixation with space travel and science fiction, leading to the album’s theme of a mission through the cosmos.
Produced entirely within FL Studio using Sytrus and 3xOsc for synths.
Big thanks to Nikki Perez, who at the time definitely did not want to hear her own voice in a recorded song, but has grown into one of the most impressive and competent musicians I’ve ever met.
Refresh

Having just turned 17, I approached my first focused “EP” with the goal of creating five tracks that sounded coherent and unified. I improvised and sketched out more than a dozen songs over the course of a weekend, then cut them down and expanded on my favorites to end up with these five over the course of a few months.
Honestly, this EP is repetitive and grating to listen to at points, but it was valuable to my experience as a musician and I’m still proud of it.
It Begins

As a 16 year old, I pretty much had one dream: to make a living making music. I knew that I probably wasn’t cut out for the traditional music industry, so my love of movies, television, and games led me to make music that I’d want to hear in those mediums.
It Begins is a roller coaster of sounds, themes, and musical styles. Its influences are easy to hear and identify, from the dreamy strings of Lord of the Rings and Hans Zimmer to the sawtooth sounds of chiptune synths. I love to think of this album as a time capsule for myself as a teenager, what I was into, and who I wanted to be.
